MALAGA PARADOR Golf CLUB (18 HOLES)

This is the oldest golf course in Andalucía, having been built in 1925.
Par for the course is 72, total length is 6,204 metres and the course was designed by Tom Simpson.

LAURO GOLF CLUB (27 HOLES)

Crta. de Coín. Km. 77. Alhaurín de la Torre. Tel: (95) 2412767.
This course is set in beautiful landscape. It was founded in 1992, designed by Folco Nardi. An extra nine holes were designed by Mariano Benítez. Par 72, with a valuation of 70.5 and a slope of 126.

TORREQUEBRADA Golf CLUB (18 HOLES)

Ctra. de Cádiz. Km. 220. Benalmádena Costa. Tel: (95) 2442742.
A demanding course with much vegetation and water. Measures 5,806 metres, designed by José Gancedo. Par: 72; Valuation: 69; slope: 132.

ALHAURÍN GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB (45 HOLES).

Ctra. de Mijas at Alhaurín el Grande. Km. 6 or Ctra. de Fuengirola at Alhaurín el Grande. Km. 15. Malaga. Tel: (95) 2595970.
Built on meandering landscape, this course was designed by Ballesteros. It measures 6,261 metres and is par 72.
It opened in 1993. Valuation: 69.7. Slope: 122.

MIJAS GOLF CLUB (36 HOLES)

Old Coín road. Km. 3. Mijas Costa. Tel: (95) 2476843.There are two courses in this club: Los Olivos (6,009 metres. Valuation: 69.3; slope: 113; par: 72) and Los Lagos (Valuation: 71; slope: 111; par: 71; course: 6.367 metres). Built in 1976 and designed by Trent Jones.

Three 18-hole courses and a 6 hole par 3 course. The largest golf resort in Spain, it was founded in 1991. Two of the courses - one, par73, valuation 69, slope 116 and total length 6,187 metres, and the other par 72, valuation 67.9, slope 113 amd total length 5,966 metres - were designed by Cabell Robinson.

MIRAFLORES GOLF CLUB (18 HOLES)

Par for the course is 72. Total length 5,510 metres. Its valuation is 65.8 and its slope is 123. Inaugurated in 1990, and designed by Folco Nardi.

LA SIESTA GOLF CLUB (9 HOLES)

A very varied course measuring 1,772 metres. The designer of this course, which opened in 1990, was Enrique Canales. Par for the course is 27. Valuation: 54; slope: 71.

ARTOLA HOTEL G. CLUB (9 HOLES)

The course was designed by Jorge Rein. It is quite short, measuring only 624 metres, and par is 27.

SANTA MARÍA G. CLUB (18 HOLES)

Measures 5,622 metres. Its par is 70, valuation is 67.1 and slope is 120. The design is by Antonio Garrido, and it was founded in 1991.

GREENLIFE Golf CLUB (9 HOLES)

With wide greens, narrow fairways and holes reaching from 88 to 169 metres. The course starts with a spectacular artificial lake at holes 1 and 2.

THE MARBELLA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB (18 HOLES)

Measures 5,953 metres and is Par 72. Founded in 1994, this is another of the courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior. Valuation 71.4; slope 129. Green fee price 80 euros in high season and 60 in low season.

RÍO REAL GOLF CLUB (18 HOLES)

A sunny course, opened in 1965. It is one of the most charming golf courses on the Costa del Sol, designed by Javier Arena with par 2. The course is 6,057 metres long.

LA DAMA DE NOCHE (9 HOLES)

First course in Europe with artificial light. Measures 5,352 metres, with par 70. Founded in 1991 and designed by Enrique Canales and Naranjos Golf Construction company. Valuation: 68.4. Slope: 122.

LOS NARANJOS (18 HOLES)

Trent Jones designed this course, increasing difficulty as holes progress. It opened in 1977, is par 72 and measures 6,437 metres. Its valuation is 71.9 and its slope is 129.

LAS BRISAS GOLF CLUB (18 HOLES).

This is a course with lots of water and bunkers; demanding precision in play. The design is by Trent Jones, the course measures 6,163 metres and it opened in 1968. Par: 72: Valuation: 70.9; slope: 126.

LA QUINTA GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB (27 HOLES)

The course was built in 1995. It measures 6,039 metres and was designed by Bradford Benz. Par is 72 strokes, valuation is 70.3 and slope is 132.

GUADALMINA G. CLUB (45 HOLES)

ATALAYA GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB (36 HOLES)

The first course measures 6,142 metres and is par 72. The design is by Bernhard Limburger. The New Course was built in 1993 and was designed by Krings, measuring 5,325 metres and par 72. This is one of the more classic complexes on the Costa del Sol, now host of the Golf Festival that takes place until February.

EL PARAÍSO (18 HOLES)

The club was founded in 1974 and was designed by the mythical Gary Player. The course measures 6,116 metres, is par 71, with a valuation of 71.5; slope: 130.

MONTE MAYOR G. CLUB (18 HOLES)

Measures 5.593 metres, par 71, valuation 68.6 and slope 132. It was designed by José Gancedo, and opened in 1989.

EL COTO DE LA SERENA (9 HOLES)

The course was designed by Pedro Morán in 1989 and par is 27. Ideal for medium-level players.

ESTEPONA G. CLUB (18 HOLES)

Designed by José Luis López, this course opened in 1989. It measures 6,001 metres with par 72. Its valuation is 69.6, slope 130.

ANTEQUERA G. CLUB (18 HOLES)

This is an 18-hole par 72, measuring 6,030 metres, and with a total of ten lakes. It was designed by José María Cañizares and is situated about 650 metres above sea level, with spectacular views of the mountains of El Torcal. The first half of the course provides views over the Antequera plains, and the second half is situated at the foot of the famous El Torcal mountains. To reach the club, take the Málaga-Córdoba and Seville-Granada road, turning off for Antequera. The sign for the club and hotel is at the first traffic lights.

LA DUQUESA GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB (18 HOLES)

CABOPINO G. club (18 HOLES)

BAVIERA G. club (18 HOLES)

Situated in the foothills of the Sierra Tejeda Nature Park, this course was designed by J. M. Cañizares. Wide fairways and well cared for greens. Magnificent views.

SANTA CLARA G. club (18 HOLES)

Large tees and greens and no excess rough. Situated in the middle of the Marbella golfing area, this is a flat course measuring 5,556 metres from the yellows. Par: 71.

LOS ALMENDROS (9 HOLES)
